Review of Old Hall Croft Barn Bed & BreakfastAs a culinary critic and travel writer with roots in Beijing, I have a deep appreciation for familial warmth and hospitality often found in smaller accommodations. The spacious room accommodated us comfortably, allowing for moments of relaxation after our daily outings. Each morning, we enjoyed a delightful cooked breakfast that energized us for hiking nearby. The freshly made English breakfast, served alongside homemade bread and lovely fruit topped with honey, was a pleasing start to our days. Carol, our host, was exceedingly accommodating, responding to our family's needs, including preparing our brother's room ahead of time. The sense of community was palpable as we shared laughs over a jar of cookies in the communal lounge. With local eateries just a short walk away, we truly felt at home, making it an ideal choice for family travelers seeking a welcoming atmosphere.
